Within the municipal measures plan for the prevention and containment of the coronavirus, the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Public Services, carried out since last week a shock plan for disinfection on public roads and buildings public both of the urban area and districts.
In this sense, the mayor, José Francisco García, recalled that the municipal services provided by the City Council are in minimum services while the State of Alarm continues, with the exception of those related to areas of citizen security, basic social care and cleaning and hygiene, which have been reinforced.
"The municipal services for street cleaning and domestic waste collection are maintained at 100% and the tasks are increased with daily and specific tasks for the disinfection of both streets, parks, gardens, urban furniture and all sensitive areas of public buildings, so that everything is in the right conditions for when it returns to normal, "explained the councilor responsible for the area, Mónica Sánchez.
Given the recent health alarm situation declared in the national territory by the coronavirus pandemic, street cleaning is of special importance in eliminating the viral load that may be contained in the public roads of the municipalities.
In this sense, the City of Caravaca, in close collaboration with the concessionaire companies of Entorno Urbano and STV, attend to the cleaning procedure recommendations, such as the wet neighborhood and the elimination of the use of blowing machines in order to avoid the dispersion of the virus.
