The City Council of Caravaca continues the School Days of Reforestation in 'La Muralla' of Archivel (28/02/2020)

More than a hundred students of the school 'Sierra de Mojantes' and the Caravaqueña company Talleres Santa Cruz have collaborated with the Department of the Environment in the planting of native species in order to enrich and increase the biodiversity of the place

0. The City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz has continued in the natural environment of 'La Muralla' of Archivel the Reforestation Educational Days, which it celebrates throughout the school year with the involvement of the primary centers of the urban center and districts.

More than a hundred students of the Rural Association of the 'Sierra de Mojantes' Group have participated in this activity, which has had workshops 'Santa Cruz' as a collaborating company, giving all the native species that have been planted in the place.

The Councilors for the Environment, Ana Belén Martínez, and Agriculture and Pedanías, José Antonio García, have stressed that the reforestation educational days have a double objective, since they are aware of the importance of caring for the environment with an activity that they like and motivate, while enriching and increasing biodiversity in different natural areas of the municipality.

The Councilor for the Environment has added that "we consider it important to recover and include in the new program of activities of the Department of Environment school reforestation, since it is an initiative with which, in addition to improving the forest mass, values ​​are transmitted ecological essentials for life ".

The conference has begun in the schools of Barranda and Archivel in order to bring educational activities to the children of districts and will continue with the centers of the town center and in other green spaces of the municipality.

The first day was held in 'Las Tosquillas de Barranda with the school' Virgen de la Candelaria 'and now it is the turn of the school children of the' Sierra de Mojantes'.

The next scheduled activity will take place in the next days at the Navares school, where, at the request of the parents and the principal of the school, a total of 15 trees will be planted;

ten mulberry trees and five paulonias, to improve the environment of the patio and that children can enjoy more and better their stay in it.
