The mayor will collect the 'Collegiate Toga' in the Solemn Act of Jura or Promise of new members and awarding a medal to lawyers who turn 25 years of professional practice

The Illustrious Bar Association of the Region of Murcia, according to the unanimous agreement of its Government Board, tomorrow rewards the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz with its annual award of the 'Collegiate Toga' for the special collaboration for the implementation of the Service of Legal Orientation (SOJ).

The mayor, José Francisco García, will collect this distinction in the Solemn Act of Jura or Promise of the new members and the delivery of a medal to the lawyers who turn 25 years of professional practice, activity framed in the employer's commemoration of the lawyers of San Raimundo from Peñafort.

Last November, Caravaca de la Cruz was the first city council in the Region of Murcia to sign an agreement with the Bar Association of the Region of Murcia to expedite access to free justice for people without the necessary resources to face their costs

The Legal Guidance Service that the Bar Association provides in municipal offices allows an approach of justice to the citizen, with the processing of applications and assistance in the process for the designation of counsel.

The objective of this measure is, therefore, to favor the right to effective judicial protection.

The implementation of this free and public service also has the necessary collaboration of the Dean Court of Caravaca de la Cruz, the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest and the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Mula River.

All this in order to expedite the granting of the benefit of legal assistance and the appointment of professionals.

This is a public service that guarantees access to justice on equal terms to those who lack the financial resources to litigate, while the ex officio shift is the system through which bar associations proceed to designate lawyers who need legal defense. , being free for those who prove they lack financial resources.
