The Department of Citizen Security and Traffic of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, together with the Headquarters of the Local Police, has initiated a campaign of control and inspection in gaming and betting rooms.

As a result of these tasks that will be repeated periodically, agents have sanctioned an establishment for displaying advertising or means of capturing images on public roads without the mandatory authorization of the Government Delegation, as well as two people for tobacco use inside.

From the Local Police remember that allowing the entry and permanence in game rooms of minors is considered a serious infraction, as it is reflected in the Law of Gambling and Betting of the Region Murcia, in the Regulation of Recreational Machines and of Azary in the Register of Gambling Companies of the Autonomous Community.

Actions related to prevention

To the controls in salons of the Local Police are added the initiatives in the area of ​​prevention promoted by the Caravaca City Council among the adolescent population of the municipality.

For this, the Department of Youth develops an information and prevention program in all secondary schools in the urban area and districts, which is taught by therapists of Proyecto Hombre.

These workshops are based on a participatory and reflective methodology, posing to students the risks and dangers of gambling games and also of addiction to video games.
