In relation to the press release issued by the Government Team of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz and regarding the meeting held last Tuesday, February 4 in the Barrio de la Calle Extremadura, from the Municipal Socialist Group we make the following clarifications:

-The works announced by the Government Team, which will be developed shortly in that neighborhood, correspond to the Works and Services Plan that on July 23, 2018 were approved for the execution of the works of the Cooperation Plan of Works and Services of municipal competence.

-These works were proposed and approved by the Pepe Moreno team during the socialist government stage and mostly executed.

- Drinking water and / or sewerage networks were renovated in the districts of La Almudema and Singla, also in two areas of the Nuevo neighborhood and on Juan Carlos I and Severo Ochoa streets.

- Regularization actions of the firm (repaved) were carried out in the streets Elías Los Arcos, Juan Carlos I, Severo Ochoa and in the streets adjacent to the main street of Barranda.

- The steels in the streets Colón, Hernán Cortés and Magallanes were renewed.

- The firmness and lighting of the sports courts in Juan Carlos I was improved

- The street lighting was renewed in the neighborhood of Santa Bárbara de Archivel and in the Altico de Barranda.

It is pending to execute in this Works and Services Plan, also approved in the Pepe Moreno stage, the regularization of the firm (resurfacing) and signaling in the neighborhood of Extremadura, for an amount of € 100,739´14 within the complementary plan of the POS, whose financing comes from the remnants generated by the losses in the adjudication of the programmed actions, mentioned above.

This last action must be executed before next June 30, 2020.

From the GMS we encourage the municipal government team to carry out this action that is pending execution as soon as possible and to take into account the requests of the residents of the Extremadura neighborhood, made in the assembly of citizen participation, in the sense to check the possible leaks of the sewer networks, before undertaking the work of regularization of the firm, in order to solve this problem instead of covering it.
