The Department of Social Services of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz pays tribute to the centenary neighbors.
âWith this symbolic gesture, but full of love and gratitude, we want to give visibility to the role that older people occupy in our society and that many times is not justly recognized.
Our elders are an example of life and improvement and without their help many families would not get ahead as they do, âsaid the mayor, José Francisco García, in the visit to the home of María Dolores Robles Pérez, neighbor of Caravaca de la Cruz which has turned 100 today.
The mayor and the mayor of Social Services, Isabel López, congratulated the caravaqueña and talked with her, who has shown that she has reached the centenary with fullness of her mental faculties.
Born on January 16, 1920, María Dolores has been surrounded by her entire family, four generations united around her.
