The Minister of Culture and Sports, José Guirao, visited Caravaca de la Cruz to see the exhibition 'Mystics.
Santa Teresa and San Juan de la Cruz, light in the Golden Age ', formed by works of great masters of painting and universal sculpture, which are exhibited until January 8 in the Society of Jesus.
The minister has been accompanied by the mayor, José Moreno;
the delegate of the Government in the Region of Murcia, Diego Conesa, members of the Municipal Corporation, patrons of the Camino de la Cruz Foundation and the curator of the exhibition, Nacho Ruiz.
The program of the visit has continued in the House-Museum of the Horses of the Wine, where the minister has been able to observe closely the work of design and embroidery of this celebration candidate to be declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Humanity by UNESCO.
The candidature of the Caballos del Vino will be presented to the Secretariat of Intangible Cultural Heritage of said international organization next March, to be studied and evaluated in the Committee of 2020, for which the mayor has transferred to José Guirao that the Ministry turns upside down with this matter at this key moment.
In the House Museum of the Horses of the Wine, Guirao has signed in the Book of Honor of the City Council and has received as an institutional gift a copy of the book 'Rafael Tejeo.
From the classical theme to the romantic portrait ', which deals with the work of this Caravaqueño painter considered one of the great portrait painters of the first half of the 19th century.
For their part, the representatives of the Wine Horse Team have also delivered a souvenir of the visit.
The tour has concluded at the Royal Basilica of the Vera Cruz, where it has been received by the older sister, Mari Carmen López, and members of its representative board.
