The Councilor for Social Services in the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, María José Soria, has received a representation from the regional delegation of the Association of Deafblinds of Spain (ASOCIDE), headed by its president in the Region, José Fenoll, and the secretary, Jesús Valero.
ASOCIDE is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to seek, create and promote all kinds of actions that meet the specific needs of deafblind people to improve their quality of life and seek their human, intellectual and social development.
In the meeting held in the Caravaqueño Consistory presented initiatives and awareness campaigns carried out to publicize elements such as the red-white cane, distinctive that identifies deafblind people, providing greater security and autonomy in travel.
Its use responds to the recommendations of international bodies that represent deafblind people.
