The City Council has installed in Caravaca de la Vera Cruz Road a total of 50 directional signs and information in order to facilitate the arrival in the city to people who choose these routes of pilgrimage.
This action, which is complementary to other signage projects made towards the Holy Year 2010, represents an investment of 8,300 euros.
The indicative, consisting of wooden poles and sheets of silk-screen arrow information are scattered throughout the main sections of the so-called Caminos de la Vera Cruz.
In particular, signals, as has detailed the Councillor for Tourism, Gonzalo López-Auguy are located in the ways of the Apostle and Lower Guadalentín, High Guadalentín, Altiplano, Andalucia and the Campo de San Juan, as well as in urban areas Archivel and the Incarnation.
"In the village, are also included street information panels with the points and monuments," he added López-Auguy.
Moreover, the Ministry of Public Works and Planning has recently placed posters and signs of various sizes with text and image, defined as Signaling System Approved Tourist Road, which designate the municipality as a tourist attraction cultural destination and monumental.
The new guidelines are located on the Northwestern motorway (RM-15), which connects Caravaca de la Cruz to the Mediterranean motorway (A-7), which also will inform users within about 4.5 million displacements are recorded each year on this road.
Completing these actions the signs located in the A-30, off Link Venta del Olivo, installed by the Ministry of Development at the request of the City of Caravaca.
