The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana today opened two new Child Care Points (PAI) located in the hamlets and Archivel caravaqueñas Barranda, with capacity to serve a total of 41 children each.
During the opening ceremony of both PAI, construction and equipment for which the Community contributed 515,318 euros, the director Joaquín Bascuñana mayor was accompanied by Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, and the director general of Family and Children, Laura Muñoz.
The EPI Barranda, with which they created three new jobs, is situated on a plot of 333 square meters located on the street Quarries, and the cost of construction and equipment amounted to 335,247 euros, of which community contributed 243,617 euros, and the rest of the city of Caravaca.
The location, on one level, has three classrooms for the direct care of children between 4 and 36 months, and multipurpose room, plus all the services required for the proper care users.
Hours are 09:00 to 14:00 and on demand, could be extended to eight hours daily.
Archivel EPI, which also has created three jobs, is located in the path of Noguera, in the place of the starter, and has three classrooms, multipurpose room and the same services and the same schedule as the Barranda EPI.
The investment in these projects amounts to EUR 419,535, of which the Community contributed 271,701 euros, and the rest of the local council.
Besides these two PAI, in Caravaca was executed and the first phase of the Center for Child Care (ISC) on the street Miguel Angel Blanco, and is launching the second.
The CAI, which had 82 seats, is municipally owned and the project amounts to 1,249,383 euros, of which the Community will contribute 836,574 to 412,809 and the City.
The town of Caravaca has three subsidized child care centers, of which two are operating, with an investment of 1,351,891 euros by the Community.
