The Public School Cervantes today opened the room devoted to Velázquez in the Museum Project.
The event, which was attended by the Councillor for Education, Juan Pedro Sánchez, and faculty of the center, has been entertained by a quartet of musicians and Lucrecia López Guirao teacher, who read a poem dedicated to the illustrious Baroque painter.
The Museum Project, funded by the departments of Education and Culture of the City of Caravaca, is an initiative that grew out of the Cervantes school teachers approach students to the art world and gradually turn the corridors and classrooms of the school into a museum paint.
The project also has a caring side, as the funds raised with presentations of the work is being devoted to nonprofit organizations with ties to Caravaca de la Cruz and providing aid to children in disadvantaged areas.
Since it was launched this initiative Cervantes school students have studied the life and work of artists like Dali, Picasso, Goya, Miró and the painters of the Impressionist movement.
El maestro Juan Antonio Jiménez Ramírez has become the center aisles in a big museum with adaptations of the best known works of art history.
