The City of Caravaca de la Cruz and the company Ferrovial Agroman this morning signed contracts for the implementation of Multifunctional Cultural Center and the second phase of the Day Centre and Residence for dependent people.
The budget for these two projects is over thirteen million euros.
The mayor, Domingo Aranda, has defined these works, linked to the world of culture and social, as key to the future of Caravaca de la Cruz.
The Cultural Center was conceived as an emblematic building as an architectural icon of the region, will occupy an area of about 9,000 square meters and consist of an auditorium with a capacity of more than 1,000 people, a municipal library and archives and areas devoted to art exhibitions.
Also noteworthy was the exterior design of the building, with a predominance of cubic elements and transparencies that are lighter and the volume of the building reflecting the novelty of the architecture of recent years.
Moreover, the day center and residence for dependents, situated in the hamlet of El Copo next to the occupational center Apcom, will be equipped with 26 rooms, rooms for workshops and spa, dining room and visit, among other dependencies needed to care for people considered high-dependency.
This work will be completed in a period of five months.
The company Ferrovial Agroman has ratified the signing of contracts today its commitment to have Caravaca companies and workers to carry out these important works.
