The Tour of Spain will return to Caravaca de la Cruz in its next edition, when the 75th anniversary of this popular event.
The news was announced this morning during the presentation of the Tour held at the Palace of Congresses and Exhibitions of Seville.
The sixth stage of the 65th edition of the Tour of Spain, scheduled for September 2, will depart from Caravaca de la Cruz Murcia to address, through the spectacular Cresta del Gallo to just over 10 kilometers from the finish.
The stage will have a journey of 144 miles.
The Department of Sports City of Caravaca wanted this test is again linked to Caravaca in the middle of Holy Year 2010.
This will aim to repeat the success of last year, when thousands of people gathered in the streets of the city to see the arrival of the cyclists and contribute at the same time, promoting the appointment of Jubilee through a event that is followed by hundreds of media nationally and internationally.
"The organization I have very fond memories of the two occasions that the return has passed through our city, so we have proposed to repeat the experience in the next edition," said the Councillor for Sports, Juan Pedro Bermúdez.
