The Employment Commission of the Northwest District held another meeting to continue working on finding alternatives to job creation in the current context of economic crisis.
Representatives from the five municipalities of the Shire, along with members of the consulting firm Price Waterhouse, sat in the city of Caravaca the basis for conducting a socioeconomic study designed to show the employment situation and develop strategies to alleviate unemployment in the medium term .
The socioeconomic study, which will be completed within four months, will consist of statistical analysis and action plans with projects that are capable of generating employment in the various municipalities.
This action is funded by the Regional Employment Service and Training and with the involvement of the five municipalities.
"The goal we set ourselves a few months ago when it was established the Regional Employment Commission is to work in a coordinated and strategic guide the economic development of the population towards the sectors with the greatest opportunity for growth for each of them.
The socioeconomic study will be a useful tool for municipalities to mark the best way forward to continue working for the job, "said the finance council in the city of Caravaca, Salvador Gomez.
