The councilman of Women, Family and Social Development, Carmen Ruiz, has collected the "Social Commitment Award to Persons with Physical and Organic in the Region of Murcia" given to the Commonwealth of Social Services of the Northwest.
With this award, the Federation of Associations of People with Disabilities Murcia (FAMDIF / COCEMFE) wishes to acknowledge the work and the efforts of the municipalities in the Northwest Region through various cooperative programs.
From FAMDIF Policy / COCEMFE have reported that the 16 associations that are part of the federation decided unanimously to award the municipalities of the Northwest through the creation and maintenance of employment assistance and contribute to the integration and standardization of the collective.
The mayor Carmen Ruiz has highlighted other initiatives in this area launched by the City of Caravaca, such as the "Employment Guide" to people with intellectual disabilities, respite care program for dependents and partnerships through the transfer of permanent headquarters premises with the Association of Families of People with Mental Illness (Afemnor) and the Northwest Association of the Deaf.
The award ceremony took place last Saturday at a gala held in the auditorium Víctor Villegas.
Together with the Commonwealth of Social Services North West, were awarded the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Fundación Solidaridad Carrefour, "Pepin Liria" and the attending physician of the Hematology Service of Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca Manuel Moreno.
