Caravaca City Council has launched a public employment program for the enhancement of the site of the head, in the hamlet of Barranda.
After recruitment, the program, which includes 10 people who were unemployed, today began with training in Occupational Hazards.
Subsequently, the work will focus on the tasks of excavation, documentation remains, museological and actions of accessibility from the site of La Cabezuela to the hill where are located the remains of a Roman castle.
The planned measures will cost 217,500 euros, of which 197,500 euros will be funded by a grant from the Program for Promotion of Employment of the Regional Employment Service and Training.
Among the 10 people hired for 9 months is an archaeologist, archaeological excavations 4 assistants, 1 officer and 4 pawns masonry.
"This is one of the measures promoted by the City of Caravaca to encourage job creation in the municipality," said Councilman Job, Salvador Gomez, who hopes to soon put up another employment program tasks security, safety and information of the Holy Year 2010.
