The Tourist Office of Caravaca de la Cruz has attended this summer a total of 12,173 users, representing an increase of 46% over the same period last year.
The figures in the network of museums are equally positive Caravaca 18,021, 6.1% more than the summer of 2008.
The concert "A Barranda moon" have experienced a dramatic rise in public with approximately 10,000 spectators, in the absence of a conspiracy to end the cycle, getting double the figure achieved in the last edition.
In turn, the theatrical evening visits to the Castle of Vera Cruz are expecting 3,328 spectators, 6.3% more than the 2008 season.
The average number of people have attended the visits during the summer nights is 99 per night.
Of the total number of tourists who have demanded information on the Municipal Tourist Office, a total of 9,574 were Spanish, led by Madrid and followed closely by Catalonia, Valencia and Murcia.
In terms of foreign origin in the first place are the British, followed by the French, Germans and Dutch.
The Councillor for Tourism, Gonzalo López-Auguy, expressed his satisfaction with tourism results obtained in the second quarter of the year, which significantly improve the figures for previous years because, in his words, the firm commitment to promoting tourism.
"These figures demonstrate the success of the campaign during the summer months on the beaches of the coast of Murcia, Valencia and Almeria in airplanes and public information counters," stressed the council.
