The Ministry of Agriculture and Water in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Livestock of the City of Caravaca was distributed during the morning in Archivel healing fungicide treatments.
This measure was taken in the campaign of phytosanitary treatments to mitigate the effects caused by hail that destroyed 1,200 hectares of crop last weekend in different districts of the municipality.
The distribution of the fungicide will be held this afternoon from 17:00 to 18:00 in the lounge Archivel and tomorrow from 11:00 to 13:00 and is considering the possibility that the distribution is extended to next week to completely covered the needs of farmers.
The fungicide will act in the wounds in the wood of fruit orchards, almond, olive, vine and grape.
The distribution of the products will be at 2 kilos per hectare.
The Councillor for Agriculture and Livestock of the City of Caravaca, Juan Gonzalez, has coordinated throughout the morning the division of the fungicide to farmers.
Juan Gonzalez has pointed out that industrial use is prohibited (juices, purees, distillation, etc.) of the affected crops which have been subjected to such treatment fungicides, because they can overcome the residue levels established.
