After the Parliament between Moro and Christian Rey, has held a massive mock battle
Thousand people took part this afternoon in the bath Solemn Procession of the True Cross to move from the parish church of El Salvador to the Temple, which holds the traditional ritual of the Cross Bath, origin and foundation of the festival of Caravaca.
The procession has had the participation of the Minister of Economy and Finance and herald of the holidays of 2009, Inmaculada García, a member of the Anara Kabila and delegate of the Government, Rafael González Tovar, in Abuceyt Ceyt kabila.
Christian ranks, preceded by the Kabyle berries have been part of the procession toward the Cuesta de la Cruz, where the Catholic Monarchs, represented this year by Eugenio Diaz and Irene Gonzalez, and the Moorish Kings, the brothers Carlos and Juani Guirao, have starred in the Parliament.
The Kings have tried to reach an agreement with an exciting dialogue but in the absence of agreement has been a massive battle between the Moors and Christians.
As to tradition, the Christian ranks have won this fight with the crowd concentrated in the vicinity of the Temple.
With this act the caravaqueños recall the struggles that had fought the Moors and Christians in the thirteenth century, when Caravaca was on the borderline of the Castilian kingdoms and Granada until the end of the Reconquista.
After the mock battle was held the bathroom of the Sacred Relic and the Blessing of the Waters in the bathtub.
The procession, led by chariots of Vera Cruz has led then to the parish of El Salvador, where the sacred relic will be exposed for adoration.
The Solemn Ritual Bath is documented in 1384 and reached its popularity the early fifteenth century when the spread seemed miraculous effects deriving from it, both for individuals and for crops.
Currently there are many who come every 3 May this solemn ritual, motivated by their spirituality and faith in the miraculous power of water.
The fervor and passion that many feel toward the employer fills the Temple of a magical, not live again until next year.
Pontifical Mass held this morning in the parish church of El Salvador was chaired by the director of the Seminary of Murcia, Javier Crespo López.
After the ceremony, hundreds of faithful have adored the Holy Cross.
