The Committee on Employment of the Northwest District held its first meeting today in order to analyze the current context of economic crisis and seek alternatives for job creation in the five boroughs that make up this territory of the Region of Murcia.
The meeting, chaired by the Director General of Employment and Training Service, Ginés Martínez, has had representatives from different municipalities in the Northwest, unions, employers and the education sector.
"This commission is designed to increase the participation and involvement of economic operators, social and institutional responsibilities for employment, establishing strategies and common goals," reported the head of the SEF.
The establishment of the Regional Employment Commission is one of the measures envisaged in the Plan of Support for the redeployment of employees affected by the economic crisis.
The functions of the committee that will meet regularly, are mainly related to the search for new employment opportunities, analyzing the potential of each of the municipalities.
According to the director general of SEF, is covered short-term measures related to adaptation of active recruitment, training, and other medium and long term will be based on an exhaustive study of the region.
One of the conclusions drawn in the first meeting of the Regional Employment Commission has been the need to hire a market survey to detect new paths of development that can benefit both the unemployed and businesses that are operating.
In this sense Employment Councilman City of Caravaca, has advanced to the Consistory caravaqueño will immediately start the procedures for recruitment of this market study.
"We will lead this project with which we intend to obtain a useful tool to mark the five municipalities of the region the best way to go to work for jobs", emphasized Salvador Gomez.
