The Municipal People's Party in the city of Caravaca de la Cruz by his spokesman Deputy D.
Salvador Gómez Sánchez and pursuant to the provisions of the Regulation on Organization, Operations and Legal System of Local Government, presented the following motion for debate and vote in the plenary:
EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM
The Spanish have again suffered a further twist with another electric rate increase approved last January.
The decision by the National Government to increase the price of electricity by 5.6% in the month of January, media, and their intention to make another increase in June, is added to increase that we faced over the previous year to a 10% increase in the price of light, no less than 7 times the CPI increase, which, remember, was only 1.5%.
This new increase in electricity prices approved by the Socialist Government in 2009 is carried out clearly ignoring the proposals made by the PP.
And we believe that, as has been taken to support the financial system is needed to help consumers, families and SMEs, as in the current economic crisis can hardly withstand a 3-fold rise to expected inflation, only in the month of January and a clear willingness of the Government of Spain to return to make another increase in June.
The PSOE seems to care more for the big energy companies and their huge profits by purchasing power of households and small and medium enterprises and independent workers, who increasingly find it more difficult to make ends meet.
Although it is time for all pitch in search of solutions, the Government reiterates the nation speak out more openly than ever, their indifference and lack of real commitment to alleviate the critical situation we are facing.
The strange justification that Industry Minister Miguel Sebastian has given us to defend a rising and unaffordable is absolutely intolerable that in this way will reduce energy consumption.

Minister: "People who consume less will pay less, since it is an incentive to save. Our goal is to save people and daylight savings will save euros" while he described the rise of "reasoned and reasonable ".
PSOE forget that the big losers will once again many Spanish families, and businesses and the self, as is quite inconceivable that the establishment of a billing system for consumer segments that ignores or composition of each household, penalizing larger families no.

Given these facts, once again, the PSOE and the Minister of Industry Miguel Sebastián are late and wrong, as the situation of irregularities that occurred in the month of January in the turnover of light, has been repeated in the month of February, with the silent complicity of the Government of the Nation.
Therefore, I request the adoption of the next plenary
AGREEMENT:
FIRST .- Demand that the Government of the Nation that the electric rate increase approved in 2009 is set to rise in the CPI.
SECOND .- The National Government modify the current billing system is clearly damaging to large families sanctioned by consumer segments, and replaced by one where the indicator is not the whole household, but the number of people that integrates family, and that this change also suits SMEs and self employed who are punished by higher consumption is the result of its economic activity.
THIRD .- The Municipal People's claim that we are suffering abuse of citizens in the turnover of the light and demand that it be conducted in a transparent and verifiable by the consumer, immediately eliminating estimated readings.
FOURTH .- The Municipal People's Party will address consumer organizations to coordinate with them acting together, to enable better protection of citizens.
