The comedy, star of the XXVIII edition of the Teatro de Caravaca Week (08/07/2008)

The mayor of Caravaca, Domingo Aranda, and the councilman of Culture, Maria Cruz Pérez, today unveiled the poster for the week of Teatro de Caravaca de la Cruz, one of the festivals of this genre of performing arts oldest in Spain, which in the XXVIII edition is marked by comedy.

In line with recent years, the Plaza de Toros will host the five works selected and the two children's performances will be staged from 21 to 27 July.

"The Taming of the Shrew" by William Shakespeare will open the week representation Theatre on Monday 21 July at 23.00.

Directed by Mariano de Paco Serrano, the play features a cast made up of famous actors and actresses from the film, theater and television as Carla Hidalgo, Alexandra Jiménez, José Manuel Seda and Mario Martin, among others.

The next performance, scheduled for July 22 at 23.00, will be the version of Mariano de Paco Tomás Gayo production of tragicomedy "Miss Trévelez" which presents a mockery suffered by two unmarried brothers and mature hands of young idlers.

"It was unfaithful and do not look to who" represented the greatest work in the history of Spanish theater, comes to the Theatre Week on July 23 under the direction of Luis Sola.

The work has been nothing less than thirteen years of continued success on the Billboard Madrid and have seen more than fifteen million viewers, thus the collection record in the history of Spanish theater.

Original Ray Cooney and John Chapman, this play is a comedy, light and carefree, which leads to comic situations that provoke the mirth of the audience.

During the performance, nine characters who interact in a frenzy in a set of doors that open and close without stopping, have a supervised the whole family.

"The Importance of Being Earnest," based on Oscar Wilde's work, try a humorous and serious customs of society.

In this comedy, scheduled for Thursday 24 July, and Patxi Freytez actors involved, Carmen Morales, Rebecca Valls, Fran Norths and Yolanda Ulloa, among others.

On Friday July 25 will be staged one of the highlights of the XXVIII edition of Theatre Week, "You have eyes of femme fatale, with the help of the company formed by Dibildos Lara, Paco Churruca, Yolanda Mora and Antonio Espinosa.

This is a show of Henry and Alain Cornejo offering viewers a fun party mood based on a smart, hilarious situations and text anthology.

The work has Mingote Antonio scenery, internationally renowned cartoonist, a member of the Royal Spanish Academy.

Works aimed at children, "Martin Wolf" and "Paper Wings" free entry, closed the week of the Theatre on Saturday 26th July and Sunday 27 July.

The remaining tickets are priced from 12 euros and reduced for 10 euros (advance sale in New Jewellery).
