The exhibition and concert are based on more than 50 instruments, reproductions of medieval iconography Spanish
The acts of the year will resume Teresian this Thursday, November 13, concert-exhibition "Musical instruments in medieval Spanish tradition. Music Sephardic Legacy".
The concert, free admission, will take place at 20.30 in the church of San José's old Carmelite convent, located on Main Street, and will be preceded by the unveiling of the commemorative plaque of the V Centenary of the Birth of St. Teresa of Jesus.
For this occasion, the Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has scheduled an exhibition and educational concert with over 50 musical instruments, reproductions of Spanish medieval iconography of the thirteenth and fifteenth centuries, from the collection of Jack Martinez and Mara Aranda.
"We invite all to attend caravaqueños this activity as it is a unique collection in Spain, composed of pieces of great beauty," stressed the mayor Maria Cruz Perez.
The instruments have been constructed from thumbnails and musicians are represented in porches of churches and cathedrals with instruments and recorded at the time.
The exhibition is complemented by a concert in which the audience can hear the music that was played with them with explanations of the instruments and repertoire.
The tour of the exhibition, visitors will find an explanation of its origin, its evolution over time, anecdotes and facts about elinstrumento particularly in literary references and other information appearing shipped with each piece into pleasant sheets .
