The Secondary School of Archivel Oróspeda is one of 25 schools in the Region of Murcia, which will implement the project called "Teaching Digital e-XXI", promoting the Education of the regional government.
Thus, a class of first year of ESO, made up of 33 students, will replace books and traditional textbooks for a digital tablet or laptop.
The students will study the four courses of the High School with this model, using and downloading digital books from a virtual platform duties.
The traditional notebooks will be used only in specific cases where learning requires writing exercises as the subjects of Mathematics or Language.
The Councillor for New Technologies, Salvador Gomez has been very satisfied with the implementation of this project in the village center of Caravaca, and an improvement in the quality of education model and saving money for families in the medium and short term.
Participating students bring their own device.
They also acquire a package of digital books, which costs between 35 and 95 euros, depending on the publisher, compared to the 200 or 250 of a conventional book package.
After the pilot conducted last Alquibla course at IES La Alberca, from the Ministry of Education include improved academic outcomes of students participating in the project "Digital Teaching century".
