Caravaca de la Cruz will host youth meeting "Express your rights" (express your rights), organized to mark the European Year of Citizenship.
The Youth Council of the City of Caravaca is the organizer of the event thanks to a grant from the European program "Youth in Action".
A total of 21 young people from Hungary (Bordany), Finland (Lapua) and Spain (Caravaca) will participate in this meeting whose theme revolves around fundamental rights enshrined in the Charter of the Citizen of the European Union.
From 22 to 29 September, young people show their vision of citizenship rights through artistic expression.
To do this, hold workshops on photography and painting, among other disciplines, and cultural heritage tours of Caravaca and other municipalities in the region.
"We have also planned meetings with our county entities that promote cultural enrichment of the participants", as reported by the Councillor for Youth, Maria Antonia Alvarez, who has pointed out that this meeting is entirely financed by European funds.
Alvarez Jorquera wants to highlight the support provided through the program "Youth in Action", which allows the completion of this activity, encouraging mobility of young people and knowledge of other cultures.
Participants at the "Express your rights" will be housed in the Auberge de las Fuentes del Marqués and most of the planned activities will take place at the premises of the Youth Centre.
