Chorus of Uganda "Aba Taano" opens this Saturday concert series "A Barranda Moon" (08/08/2013)

The concert series "A Barranda Moon", organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of the City of Caravaca, begins this Saturday, August 10 with a performance of "Aba Taano".

The concert will start at 22.30 pm in the courtyard of the Museum of Ethnic Music, and entry is free until all seats.

"Aba Taano" is a musical composed of six young people in Uganda, who play a repertoire in gospel music inspiring.

This group is a project undertaken for eight years for "Music for Life", a nongovernmental organization that keeps in Kampala, the Ugandan capital, an orphanage where she grew band members themselves.

The councilman of Culture and Tourism, Maria Cruz Perez, explained that the boys and girls of "Aba Taano" with the head of the NGO "Music for Life", Elisabeth Michot, visited the Museum of Music in the late May.

"At the same time we hear their voices it was clear that they should be part of the summer concert series Music Museum," said the mayor, who stressed energy and extraordinary quality of this musical formation.

"Aba Taano" has toured the major concert halls and theaters Spanish, stressing his performances in the Royal Theatre, the Auditorium Reina Sofia in Madrid, Lope de Vega in Seville and the Palau de la Música in Barcelona.

He has also toured many European and American countries.

The series "A Barranda Moon" this summer will bring two concerts at the Music Museum.

The next performance will be held on August 17 and will be given by Julian Paez Murcia, singer interweaves the popular and high culture, adapting poems of prominent authors such as Miguel Hernandez, flamenco rhythms.

The group "North Sea" will be in charge of closing the summer concerts of Ethnic Music Museum.

This band is made up of composers and musicians with a style forged from its origins and rich musical experience.

"North Sea" is considered one of the Celtic rock groups of the Spanish banner.
