They go to work to present a comprehensive plan to Caravaca Tourist (30/01/2013)

In the last plenary was passed with the support of all local groups, a project of boosting tourism in villages.

In this sense, we have to say we have not hesitated to support an idea that in fact we have been demanding, without success, with initiatives for several years, by the GMSocialista, specifically from the Jubilee 2010.

Although we believe that what was presented to the House continues to be more than a sketch with about 5 itineraries by the districts and Caravaca field, we considered incomplete if and to incorporate it lacks justification, methodology, the means that will have agents that are to involve, how to be tender and advertise, etc, as said in Parliament that the socialist mayor, Maria Belen Queen.

In fact from our municipal group in collaboration with the local Socialist Group have begun work on a comprehensive plan to Caravaca Tourist, in order to analyze and translate them as completely as possible all facets and resources available to our town, in what we consider to be its tourism, with routes through the town and its surroundings, for districts with its natural, historical and gastronomic offerings also including county to complement the local.

Ultimately, Caravaca attract visits with overnight stays of longer duration, as we claimed, unlike what has been happening, thereby revitalizing our attraction, and particularly the traditional trade and hospitality.

In another vein, we believe that the draft Decree and Plan of Integrated Management of Natura 2000 areas of the Northwest, which went public information on 21 December until Tuesday 5 February (after a little expansion the term), should have a genuine process of information and participation following the recommendations themselves Directorate General of the Environment on the development of management plans for the Natura 2000 network and the European Habitat Directive on social participation in the planning and management of the Natura 2000 network.

Unable to interested citizens and affected sectors, especially agriculture and livestock (which provides 76% of the space to be protected), including the Shire councils themselves, can not be analyzed in either time (with Christmas in between ) a total of 16 large and complex documents with which to regulate the protection of the 14 SPAs LICS and Northwest, with their corresponding buffer zones and connecting corridors between them.

It requires a longer period so that all people, organizations and associations to know in depth the contents of the extensive documentation and corresponding claims raise.

Therefore, from the GMS we have joined the call for agricultural organizations to broaden the public information within three months and we have ensured that this is translated into a joint motion of all municipal groups, which will be discussed at the request ours in an extraordinary plenary session on Monday, February 4 (before the aforementioned deadline is met), along with the other outstanding issues of the last Parliament.

Here will be approved in plenary jointly, for transfer to the Regional Government, the following:

- To extend the period of public exhibition of the draft Act and the Comprehensive Management Plan spaces Northwest Natura 2000 Network.

- To implement the recommendations of the Directorate General and current Habitat Directive on public information processes for at least three months to avoid situations of helplessness owners and the City of Caravaca that could be affected.

- To request the General Directorate of Environment a communication campaign in all municipalities involved to enable a clear and actual conditions and possible resolution of the doubts that may arise.

- The application for maximum flexibility in dealing with allegations of agricultural associations, cooperatives and affected to make this document a real chance of compatibility between environmental conservation and economic activity in our region.

However, since we also want to make representations GMS counting all sectors (if the term is extended).

We denounce the rush to pass now running the Management Plans of the Natura 2000 network, when it should have been done before December 31, 2007, within a project funded LIFE by 75% by the EU, on pain of having to return the money received and also lose an important package of aid.
