Council starts the selection process to the "Aurora" rural employment promotion (08/01/2013)

The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its departments of Employment and Women, has initiated the selection process for employment promotion program "Aurora", where it is expected the participation of 25 women living in the municipality .

The initiative's primary goal is to promote employment and social integration of rural women.

Municipal technicians responsible for the coordination of this program are to hold a series of contacts with women's organizations formed in the town and in the parishes to pass on the main objectives of this program that starts first in Caravaca, co-financed by European funds and the National Women's Institute and the City of Caravaca.

In addition, all women who are interested in participating can receive information on the Municipal Center of Employment, Gender and Education, located next to the garden of the brow, from 08.30 to 15.00.

The profile of the participants in the "Aurora" will be the women who, by age or background, are more difficult to access a job.

The content of the program consists of two phases: the first in which we work on personal issues such as knowledge, expectations, needs and demands of women, and a second focused on the professional path, based on work motivation and provide a vocational training linked to local labor supply.

Along with the social and labor integration, the "Aurora" seeks to promote economic independence and greater social recognition of the role that women play in the growth and sustainability of rural areas.

Other objectives of the program are: to promote joint ownership, promote equality of opportunity and treatment and reduce gender imbalances, promote digital literacy, encourage associations and networking, increasing female participation and social policy, promoting the viability municipalities and social eradicate gender violence.

The City of Caravaca was selected with 12 other Spanish local entities to develop the "Aurora".

Alongside Caravaca, participates Villafufre, Santillana del Mar and the Enmedio Campoo (Cantabria); Autol and Ashtray (La Rioja), Almaden, Argamasilla de Calatrava and Viso del Marqués (Castilla-La Mancha) Matarraña Shire and Shire of Tarazona ( Aragon); Garachico (Canary Islands) and Media Zone Consortium (Navarra).
