The Department of Culture has opened a new exhibit at the exhibition hall of the old Society of Jesus.
This new exhibition features a selection of drawings and prints by Antonio Martinez and Vladimir Torres Havlic, two artists who see art from opposing styles.
Vladimir Havlic is an author of a classical, academic, as demonstrated in each of their jobs, worried about the shape and color.
The paintings of the latter is integrated into the collection donated by the family of Antonio Martinez Torres to the City of Caravaca.
The work of Antonio Martinez Torres is always the result of the ongoing attempt to capture the essence of an object, a landscape, of an impression, to shape it with minimum possible strokes, trying to awaken in the beholder an overall feeling from few simple lines.
Antonio Martinez Torres donated to Caravaca de la Cruz, his birthplace, his paintings and sculptures, as well as an art collection consists of a large number of pieces, some signed by famous artists of the twentieth century.
The City Council is showing regular and temporary exhibitions of works that are part of the donation.
The exhibition will be open until 28 June and can be visited from 18.00 to 21.00.
