The delegate of the Government in the Region of Murcia, Joaquin Bascuñana, and the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, Domingo Aranda, presided this morning the Local Security Board convened to design a special plan for the festivities and discuss other matters of interest .
During the meeting, have set the security needs and emergencies to ensure the smooth running of events and have provided a correct response to any incident.
The device will remain active holiday from 30 April to 5 May and will consist of some 300 troops, including Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection, Red Cross, Fire Fighting Consortium, 061 and emergency department of the Regional Hospital Northwest.
Also during the meeting it was agreed the presence of a Civil Protection helicopter to meet possible evacuations and the installation of a field hospital for the morning of May 2.
Moreover, the mayor has demanded the creation of a permanent office Caravaca for issuance of National Identity Card to provide coverage to municipalities in the Northwest Region and thus end up with waiting lists.
Caravaca City Council has made available a room for the installation of this service.
The delegate of the Government has accepted this request and forward the proposal to the National Police Headquarters.
