The City of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Environment and Training Center for Persons with Intellectual Disability (APCOM) have signed a collaboration agreement for the maintenance of green spaces and urban districts.
The mayor, Domingo Aranda, and the center's president, Antonio Castillo, today signed an agreement with the increasing support for the group of people with disabilities and improving the care of gardens and natural areas of the municipality.
Thanks to this agreement, a team of 17 people with intellectual disabilities will work on improving and maintaining green spaces.
"This agreement has a strong social because it involves the expansion of partnerships that the City has for over ten years of service Ecojardín Apcom, increasing the framework and the frequency of performances," the mayor pointed out, Sunday Aranda, who highlighted the work that the parent association for Apcom develops caravaqueña society.
For his part, President of Apcom, Antonio Castillo, thanked the involvement demonstrated by the City of Caravaca, because the agreement signed enables you to meet two main objectives of the occupational center: to provide jobs and promote social integration of people with disabilities.
"Currently 75% of the work developed by users of the Special Employment Centre Ecojardín is performed for the City of Caravaca," he said.
The local authority will provide the amount of 96,700 euros per year for the integral maintenance of landscaped areas of all parishes and places like The Wall and The Tosquillas Archivel Barranda.
In the village, provides for the cleaning, irrigation and maintenance of places like the gorge of St. Jerome, the hermit of the fence, Las Fuentes del Marques and public schools.
