The City of Caravaca de la Cruz has completed the actions of the Works and Services Plan (POS) in 2011, financed by regional and local administrations with an amount close to € 200,000.
Specifically, the projects implemented in recent months have been developed in the streets of Almeria and Diego Cortez and in the village of Singla.
"The works meet the objectives of improving pedestrian areas, water collection and street lighting to make a more walkable city," stated Councillor for Urban Development, Salvador Gomez.
In Almeria Avenue has undertaken the complete renovation of the pavement and sidewalks and the replacement of water and sewer connections.
This project has been expanded with steely improving a stretch of the road from Granada, at the height of the old stock of wheat, and improved access to the pedestrian plaza Hermanos Pinzón.
The second project has affected Diego Cortez Avenue, where a branch has been installed with rainwater which will avoid the problems of accumulation of water from adjacent streets.
Similarly, we proceeded to the replacement of pavement and sidewalks and the replacement of water networks in the neighborhood of St. Paul.
Finally, we must highlight the renewal of street lighting in the Fountain of Singla, thus meeting the demands raised by neighbors to improve the lighting in the area.
The luminaires are installed low-power and meet the energy saving measures.
