Northwest Youth are awarded in the Literary Contest Albacara (20/12/2011)

Sara Ecija, Lucía López Fajardo, Soraya Alvarez Alvaro Cortes were the winners of the first prizes in different categories and procedures

The Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz has given awards Albacara Literary Contest, organized among students of primary and secondary schools in the Northwest Region.

The event, held at the Casa de la Cultura Emilio Saez, was attended by the mayor, Domingo Aranda, the Councillor for Culture, Maria Cruz Perez, as well as various components of the jury.

In this edition, the first prize in the first category of narrative has been for the work titled "Tim Toldram and the pyramid," Willrett Ecija Sara, a student from school Cehegín Pérez Villanueva.

The second prize went to "Bruno", by Inés López Aguilar Fajardo Melgares, school Our Lady of Consolation.

Within this category, the jury agreed to award two honorable mentions to the stories "Esther's Dream" presented by Belen Fernandez Martinez of Holy Cross College, and "I like you", signed by the student from El Salvador Clara Guerrero Martinez Sanchez .

In the poetry within the first category, only one prize awarded to the pupil at the school Our Lady of Consolation Melgares Farjardo Lucia Lopez de Aguilar with the play "Spring".

In the second category, narrative mode, the first prize went to work, "Chirinos's Legacy", Alvaro Alvarez Thomas, a student from IES San Juan de la Cruz.

The second prize went to "The Dark Side of the Planet Award 2011" presented by Elena Carrasco Romero of San Juan de la Cruz.

The jury also agreed to give honorable mention to the stories "The limit of hatred," Rosario Moreno Sánchez Amor de Dios School Bullas, and "Love constant beyond Death" by Alfonso Navarro Oróspeda Jorquera Archivel IES.

In the form poetry has achieved the second category the first prize Soraya Rodriguez Cortes, the Archivel Oróspeda, with "One way of viewing the world."

In the same modality and category, second prize is awarded to a work entitled "Only You" by Ana Martinez Guerrero, Jesus Christ Appeared school student Moratalla.

The Department of Culture, through the Municipal Library, annually organizes the competition Albacara to promote literature and promote new values ​​in this field.

The contest began in 1972 linked to the youth group "Albatross" and the Community of Discalced Carmelites, and after a hiatus of several years, was recovered by the City Council to promote the love of literature among children and youth.
