The Youth Council has initiated anti-smoking program "Healthy Travel", which rewards by attending a meeting European youth to young people involved in therapy and not smoke during the period of seven months.
It is, as explained by Councilwoman Antonia Maria Alvarez Jorquera, "an initiative aimed at students in 4 of the ESO, which has the fundamental objective that adolescents may not start in the consumption of snuff or give it up."
To achieve the involvement of the participants, the Youth Council with the assistance of medical personnel, mixing information, training and leisure.
"More than 500 boys and girls have participated in the Healthy Tour during its six editions, so the balance of this initiative held a pioneer in Caravaca is a very satisfying," said Alvarez Jorquera.
The "Healthy Travel" has been launched with a speech addressed to the participants and their parents by the mayor of Youth and medical personnel responsible for directing the program.
During this briefing phases have been reviewed and objectives as well as commitments to undergo the necessary medical examinations and tests (test coximetría and cotinine) and to attend lectures and programmed therapies.
