PSOE: "The Autonomous choking with cuts and unpaid to the Commonwealth of Social Services and Education Centers" (10/11/2011)

Workers in the Commonwealth of Social Services Northwest, a dozen people come dragging a situation if it is equal to or worse than the Jubilee Caravaca.

Early last October, accumulating three months without receiving their salaries, so the Mayor Sunday Aranda, currently president of the same, with the workers pledged to pay the payroll pending before the 15th of last month, promise that has failed to meet the most part, because today accumulate two months late for nothing.

This situation remains a concern among the group of workers to such an extent that has shown as can be read on the posters that have been placed in the offices of the headquarters for the information of those seeking their services: "WORKERS / IS SOCIAL SERVICES CENTER NORTHWEST: ABANDONED / OS. WORK AND NO CHARGE. "

According to Jesus Navarro said this morning in Caravaca, in a Press Conference shared with the socialist mayor, Fernando Alfonso Sánchez Romera and all this is a consequence of the drastic cuts and unpaid by the Autonomous Community of the different programs for Services Social.

Specifically, the debt that keeps the Autonomous Community with the said Commonwealth amounts to almost one million euros, to which is added the debt of the municipalities that form and accounts for nearly FOUR THOUSAND EUROS.

On the other hand Navarro has shown that in regard to the implementation of Law Unit, 56,000 people worth less than 50% are receiving the benefit corresponding to their dependency.

Meanwhile Sanchez has said that only the City of Caravaca Commonwealth owes more than three hundred thousand euros and the seriousness of all this is that the mayor, Domingo Aranda, has been refusing to recognize and therefore take this amount, thus exposing precarious means they are handling his job workers.

In addition to this, stressed the oppressive situation in which schools are, as only received 40 percent of the money they have allocated for its operation for the entire year.

But we want to point out that this 40% refers to the allocation received by the Centers for Primary, and High School.

We want to add here and complain, because this has not been revealed, the situation of the Centres also have training cycles, mostly in our region, as they have not received any of the amounts allocated to vocational training.

The result is that the teachings of a professional focused on skilled labor output, which require specific means and equipment, are already having serious difficulties, most demand right now are having to improve the employment prospects of people who have become unemployed as consequence of the crisis.

We believe that this situation is about to explode, it is clear that the educational community (parents, teachers and students) will not be unmoved.

It is a fact that schools are holding the remnant but is no longer paying the bills generated by the current expenditures and therefore are not buying much needed material whatsoever.

This is causing or can not turn on the heat this winter.

From the PSOE understand that "education, like health or social policy, not an expense, but a right and an essential investment in the future to generate values, equal opportunities, balanced economic development and ultimately social welfare" .
