The Murcian artist Emilio Villaescusa shows the collection of paintings, "Spaces of Vera Cruz" in the exhibition hall of the old Society of Jesus.
The exhibition, organized with the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Caravaca, be open to the public this afternoon and will remain open until November 25 from 17.30 to 20.30.
Villaescusa Emilio presents a series of colorful paintings made especially for this exhibition, inspired by urban and natural landscapes of Caravaca de la Cruz.
The exhibition is a key the Basilica de la Vera Cruz, shown from different perspectives, as well as the most representative places of the city, including the Temple, the Plaza del Arco and Fuentes del Marques.
The author has declared that "Caravaca de la Cruz is a land of enlightened spaces of singular color and capable of arousing passion and inspiration."
"I went to Caravaca with the same enthusiasm that moves the pilgrim to perform in a particular set of works, the beauty of this land and create an explosion of shapes and colors," explains the artist.
Emilio Villaescusa for several years belongs to the Regional Association of Crafts Guild and has exhibited several with this group either alone or in joint exhibitions throughout the Spanish geography and in countries like France, Italy and Portugal.
Murcia and its municipalities are the main source of inspiration.
