Domingo Aranda says, "the statement of the Feast of the Groups is a reward for work well done" (25/01/2011)

The people live on Sunday Barranda its special edition of the Feast of the crews confirmed this morning after the award of National Tourist Interest.

The mayor, Domingo Aranda, said that this award is recognition for a job well done and thanks all individuals and institutions over the past years have supported the party.

"We have a sense of joy and satisfaction difficult to hide, now more than ever, we are obliged to maintain and support the spirit of the crews," said the mayor, who has reported that late this morning received communication by the General Secretariat of Tourism and Domestic Trade.

The City of Caravaca, with the collaboration of Aguilanderos Barranda and the Directorate General of Tourism, has worked for the past two years on record for the declaration of the Party of National Tourist Interest crews, completing applications for membership, certificates , historical documents, among many other items required by current regulations.

Moreover, the record, written by the staff of the municipal Tourism Department, collects more than 30 appearances in the media nationwide and 41 letters of support to the declaration by public institutions, associations and other groups and different points of Murcia Spanish geography.

The document has allowed the declaration of National Tourist Interest Party was accompanied by a favorable agreement of Full Council and an explanatory memorandum justifying the historical roots, uniqueness, diversity, values potential and tourist attractions of the Feast of the crews.

For its part, the Department of Tourism conducted a promotional campaign in the media and tourism fairs to promote the record.

Since 1979, coinciding with the Feast of the Candelaria, patron saint of Barranda, the last Sunday of January occurs Party Crews, a day that brings together pandas, rounds and music bands of the southeastern Spanish oral tradition.

The party was declared of Regional Tourist Interest in 1999 and from this time have the declaration of National Tourist Interest.

The festival includes Study Session on Culture of Oral Tradition, the Barranda Folk and Festival of the crews.
