The City answered 1,612 inquiries and complaints from consumers during 2010 (25/01/2011)

The Office of Consumer Caravaca City Council in 2010 served a total of 1,612 complaints and inquiries made by consumers and users of services.

The most common are those related to administrative procedures (684 users), telephone (977 users) and life insurance, home and car (61 users).

56% of complaints received during the past year are archived to be resolved, 27% has gone to the Consumer Arbitration Board, 8% is pending mediation, 4% have been referred to the competent bodies for settlement and 4.5% is awaiting submission to arbitration.

The councilman of Consumption, Mercedes Velez, recalled that "all the neighbors of Caravaca are offered free of charge the services of the Office of Consumer unit located on the second floor of City Hall, which has among its functions to guide consumers and users for the proper exercise of their rights, claims management, training and promoting consumer education and give support to consumer organizations.
