A total of 20 people are unemployed and at risk of social exclusion have attended two sewing workshops and repair occupational footwear.
This training is part of the collaboration agreement, the City of Caravaca Association has with Abraham Project.
The workshops were closed yesterday with the presentation of diplomas by the Director General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs IMAS, John Brown, accompanied by the Councillor for Social Promotion, Carmen Ruiz Mulero, and the president of the Abraham Project, Rafael Sanchez.
The event was attended by representatives of municipalities of Murcia and Cieza, municipalities also carry out these initiatives.
These workshops, sewing and shoe repair, which equipment is funded by the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Immigration, part of Abraham Project training program that aims primarily at enhancing the employability of people at risk and / or social exclusion by developing social and employment skills.
In three years, nearly 500 people have learned a trade in mobile workshops.
Four years ago the Association Abraham Project, under an agreement with the City, has been developing in Caravaca various initiatives to support the immigrant population and persons at risk and / or social exclusion.
In particular, there have been various occupational courses and workshops have been held to raise awareness among schoolchildren on environmental and social values.
It also maintains a social service center work and shop trail, where you can buy recycled clothes that people previously deposited in the containers of clothing, footwear and toys.
