Concerts of the band, ballet and theater for children are some of the activities that shape the program designed by the departments of Celebration and Culture of the City of Caravaca to celebrate Christmas.
The events begin this Friday, December 17 at 19.30 pm in the Society of Jesus with the opening of the Municipal Bethlehem, the traditional lighting of Christmas lights and band concert at the Conservatory.
One of the new programming this year is the concert series organized by the Culture Department to benefit Caritas.
These concerts will be borne by the musical group of Caravaca and will be offered in the lounges Barranda (Saturday, December 18) and file (January 8) and the Basilica de la Vera Cruz (January 2nd).
This is the first time in Caravaca the band designed to preparing a concert soloist with a repertoire of works from the Baroque period.
Children's theater also plays a key player in the Christmas program with the staging of various plays and musicals from 18 until 30 December.
The performances scheduled are "The Cowboy Mouse," "Pinocchio," "Hansel and Gretel", "Cantabaila" "Tom Thumb", "Alicia.com", "Sleeping Beauty" and "The Jungle Book."
The eight performances will take place in theater Thuillier pass and tomorrow afternoon and will be free to fill seats.
Another major attraction will be staged on Monday 20 December "Nutcracker" ballet of the Opera House of Odessa.
On the theater stage Thuillier be more than forty state academic ballet dancers from Ukraine, who will perform two acts based on the story by Hoffman with music by Tchaikovsky.
On the other hand, the next Sunday, December 19, there will be a special edition of Pilgrim's Market dedicated to Christmas.
Thus, the square of the Arc will host a workshop production of sweets and other children's entertainment, as well as other outlets related to crafts and cuisine.
