The First March for Equality is celebrated on March 11 with three modalities of participation (14/02/2018)

Within the commemorative events of the 'International Women's Day', Caravaca de la Cruz will host on March 11 the 1st March for Equality, organized by the Albávides Female Cábila Cultural Association, in collaboration with the City of Caravaca de la Cruz .

This activity, for which the registration period is already open, has been presented by the councilor who directs the areas of Sports, Social Services, Women and Health, María José Soria, and the president of the festero group, Ana Belén Álvarez.

"This is a march that has several aspects, because with it we try to make visible and claim the necessary equality between women and men in all areas of society, through a sport activity, which also has a charitable character, since part of the inscriptions will be allocated to the Association against Domestic Violence of the Region of Murcia 'AVIDA' ", said María José Soria.

Ana Belén Martínez explained that it is a march designed with all publics in mind, with several modes of participation: 5 kilometers 'Marcha Festera' for children and adults, 10 kilometers of urban and outskirts hiking and 10 kilometers 'Running'.

The starting point will be the La Corredera promenade, at 10 a.m., where, once the march is over, there will be animation activities, raffles and children's workshops aimed at all the participants.

The inscriptions can be formalized in Papelería 'Papiro' (in Asturias street) or through the bank account number of the Almorávides cabila, which is detailed in the poster announcing the march.

The price is 12 euros for adults and 5 euros for children (aged between 3 and 12 years), including supplies, medical assistance and liability insurance.

The I March for Equality will be integrated into the program of events of the 'International Women's Day', which commemorates the struggle of women for their participation, on an equal footing with men, in society and in their full development as a person.
