The Police Coordination Table for Gender Violence has met in the Caravaca de la Cruz City Council to carry out the individualized follow-up that it carries out every six months with the victims of the municipality, with judicial measures.
The meeting was chaired by Councilor for Security, Traffic and Emergencies, Pedro Antonio Muñoz, and was assisted by the head of the Coordination Unit against Violence against Women of the Government Delegation, María Luisa Barreda, as well as of commands of the Local Police and Civil Guard and the technicians responsible for the Specialized Attention Center for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI).
"With this new body, created in December of last year, joint research is encouraged, coordination between the security forces is improved and greater protection is guaranteed for all women who have filed complaints for cases of gender violence", has reminded the mayor Pedro Antonio Muñoz.
The Specialized Attention Center for Women Victims of Violence (CAVI), based in Caravaca de la Cruz, which serves the municipalities of the Northwest Region, has attended 75 new cases so far this year and since its opening in In 2006 there were 970 women attended.
Within the prevention and coordination measures planned, is the holding of the seminar to promote socio-health coordination of gender violence, which will be focused on the Emergency area and will meet this Friday, November 10, in Caravaca to professionals of all the region, summoned by the Ministries of Family and Health.
