The mayor and the general director of Sports have participated in the presentation of the fifth edition of the 'Caravaca 10.0'
About 1,500 runners meet next Sunday, November 12, in the race 'Caravaca 10.0', a competition that becomes the headquarters of the Regional Championship of 10K, having one of the twenty national circuits of this modality certified by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.
The test -which in its fifth year retains the popular character of its previous editions, being open to all ages and categories- has been presented in the esplanade of the Caravaca de la Cruz Castle, with the participation of the mayor, José Moreno;
the general director of Sports, Alonso Gómez;
Councilor for Sports, María José Soria, and Sebastián Abril, representing the Caravaca Sports Association 10.0.
"'Caravaca 10.0' maintains its fast and accessible circuit, taking care of the popular sportsman and also supporting the elite runner, with important cash prizes, to which this year a special prize is added to the first participant who passes through kilometer 5 ", as explained by Sebastián Abril, who added that the competition continues to be part of the 'Running Challenge', the popular racing league promoted by the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia.
After holding the absolute race, the departures of all minor categories will take place, since 'Caravaca 10.0' has renewed its commitment to the project 'Fair Play', whereby hundreds of students from the secondary schools of the municipality will attend the event as an example of healthy sport among youth.
Later, in the area of ​​the exit and finish, located in the avenue of the Constitution and park Pedro García-Esteller, all runners can participate in beer and popular crumbs.
In addition, the Corridor Fair will be installed in this space, with physiotherapy and consignment service, children's games and the presence of associations of solidary character of the municipality.
From the Sports Association Caravaca 10.0 have wanted to thank the support of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz, whose contribution is essential for the development, security and control of the test, as well as the team of volunteers 'Caravaca 10.0', along with Civil Protection and Red Cross.
