The agents have recovered part of the stolen effects

Citizen collaboration has been crucial for the resolution of the operation

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed in the Northwest region the operation 'RAUMA', an investigation framed in the 'Plan against theft in homes', which has resulted in the arrest of two people allegedly involved in the commission of two robberies in the Caravaca districts of Barranda and El Moralejo.

Agents specializing in prevention of citizen security of the Benemérita began the operation last September after the presentation of several complaints for thefts in homes in the outskirts of Caravaca de la Cruz.

The investigations carried out by the agents in the place of the facts allowed to verify that the robberies were committed using force against doors or windows to access the property and, once inside, to remove any object of value, mainly electrical appliances and the installation of heating of one of the houses (boiler, radiators and pipes), among others.

Thanks to the valuable collaboration of citizens, the investigators obtained indications that allowed identifying the alleged perpetrators of the robberies and the vehicle used to travel during their criminal activity.

In addition to the preventive services developed to prevent the commission of more crimes of this type in the area, the Civil Guards initiated a monitoring device on the objects stolen in the homes in recycling centers that, thanks to the fluid collaboration with the Benemérita, It allowed detecting the illicit commercialization of these, for which they were seized, put to judicial disposition and returned to their legitimate owners.

This last event allowed the agents to identify two people who were allegedly behind the authorship of the facts investigated, so a search device was established that has culminated in recent days with its location and detention in Cehegín.

In addition, the vehicle supposedly used to move and transport the stolen effects has been seized.

The accused are allegedly responsible for two crimes of robbery with force in housing, although their connection to other criminal acts is not ruled out.

The detainees a man and a woman, aged 31 and 23, neighbors of Cehegín and Bullas, the recovered effects and diligences instructed have been placed at the disposal of the Court of Instruction number 3 of Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia).
