More than a hundred students from the Military School of Parachute "Méndez Parada", belonging to the Sewer Air Base, have moved to Caravaca de la Cruz, on the occasion of the celebration of the Jubilee Year 2017.

Led by their chief colonel, Javier Francisco Fernández Fernández, they have made part of the journey from the Northwest Greenway to Caravaca on foot, where they have been received at the Plaza del Arco by the mayor, José Moreno, and the older sister of the Cofradía of Vera Cruz, Elisa Giménez-Girón.

Subsequently, they have continued to the parish of El Salvador and El Castillo, where they have made a parachute descent carrying the flag of Spain.
