Thirteen students receive the Extraordinary Education Awards granted by the City of Caravaca (23/10/2017)

The House of Culture 'Emilio Sáez' hosted the ceremony for the Extraordinary Prizes of Bachillerato, Vocational Training and Teachings of Special Regime, granted by the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz, through its Department of Education, in collaboration with the secondary schools of the municipality.

The ceremony was presided over by the mayor of Caravaca de la Cruz, José Moreno, who congratulated the award-winning students as well as their teachers and family members, and recalled that the purpose of these awards is to publicly acknowledge the interest in study, perseverance and the effort of those students of the municipality with outstanding academic records.

Also intervened the director of the institute Oróspeda de Archivel, Miguel Angel Jorquera, and the musical note was in charge of professors and students of the Professional Conservatory of Music 'Leandro Martínez Romero'.

In the fourth edition of the Extraordinary Education Awards, the Bachelor's students were Laura Batía Ruzafa from IES Oróspeda (Humanities and Social Sciences), Jazmín Berzas Navarro from IES Ginés Pérez Chirinos (Arts) and Ana María Rodríguez Fernández-Quevedo from IES San Juan de la Cruz (Research).

In the Bachelor of Science category, the jury decided to award three prizes to the students María Teresa Álvarez Marín from IES Oróspeda, Araceli Cava Giménez from IES Oróspeda and Adrián Sánchez Durán from IES Pérez Chirinos.

In Professional Training, the students of the IES Ginés Pérez Chirinos Juana García García (Professional Formative Training Middle Degree 'Technicians in ancillary Nursing Care) were awarded the prize, Esther-Caridad Sánchez Velázquez (Formative Cycle Professional Training Middle Degree' Technicians in conducting activities physical education in the natural environment), Juan Antonio Bermejo Sánchez (training cycle, Vocational Training, Middle Degree 'Technician in electromechanics of machinery'), Antonio Martínez Fernández (Higher Vocational Training and Administration and Finance) and Cristian García Buitrago ( training cycle Professional Training High Degree 'Development of Multiplatform Applications').

In the Professional Conservatory of Music 'Leandro Martínez Romero', the outstanding academic record Noelia García Berbell (violin specialty) and María Teresa Álvarez Marín (Piano specialty) were awarded prizes.

The jury also made a special mention to the students Laura Pérez Navarro, Andrea Romera Melgares, Elena Arias Vélez and María Dolores López Sánchez.
