The Director General of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, Luis Lafuente, has visited the exhibition commemorating the Jubilee Year 2017 'Signum.
The glory of the Renaissance ', which houses the hall of the Company of Jesus of Caravaca de la Cruz until November 30.
On that visit he was accompanied by the mayor of Caravaca, José Moreno, and by the director general of Cultural Property of the Autonomous Community, Juan Antonio Lorca.
"We are delighted to welcome those responsible for cultural goods from both the central and autonomous government because, in addition to showing them one of the great jewels of this Jubilee Year such as the 'Signum' exhibition, we have the opportunity to translate the catalogs and needs of our helmet historical".
Another of the issues they have discussed has been the need to undertake the cleaning and restoration of the baroque cover of the Basilica of the True Cross.
In this sense, the director general of Fine Arts and Cultural Heritage has advanced that "the Ministry of Culture is writing a study that will show in detail the state of the façade and the actions that are necessary."
