The exhibition hall of the Casa de la Cultura opens its doors again with the exhibition 'Arte y fotografía', by the Yeclana artist Sonia Muñoz.
The exhibition, consisting of a collection of images that recreate well-known works of Baroque painting, opens tomorrow, Friday September 1, at 8:00 p.m.
This exhibition reaches the town thanks to the collaboration between Council of Culture of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz and the Institute of Cultural Industries and Arts (ICA) of the Region of Murcia, through the Plan of Exhibition Spaces, which Takes the production of diverse artists of the Region to municipal rooms.
Sonia Muñoz recreates through photography paintings by great artists of the History of Art, such as 'El Greco' or Goya.
Most are portraits made with users of the Yecla association 'Affected by Cancer' (AYAC), who posed as models for this artwork.
'Old woman frying eggs', 'La maja vestido', 'The peasant's lunch' or 'The gentleman's hand in the chest' are some of the paintings on which the 15 works that the artist presents in Caravaca de la Cross.
Sonia Muñoz (Yecla, 1994) is the daughter of photographers and since 2007 is dedicated professionally to this artistic discipline.
At present, she combines her work as a 'freelance' photographer with teaching, teaching photography courses in the provinces of Murcia and Alicante.
He has held collective exhibitions in Madrid and in different municipalities of the Region.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until September 29, from Monday to Friday in schedule, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
