About 150 children participate in municipal summer schools, organized by the Department of Youth of the City of Caravaca de la Cruz.
During July, schools have been held in Caravaca and in the districts of Archivel, Barranda and La Encarnación and some of them will continue in August depending on the demand.
The urban school summer school, which is being carried out in collaboration with the Caravaca Sports Center, favors inclusion, as it has specialized monitors for the care of children with disabilities.
In this edition are 12 children and children enrolled with some type of disability.
The Department of Youth also pays special attention to the integration of girls whose families face socioeconomic difficulties, facilitating the gratuity of enrollment.
In total, there are 30 children from the Consistorio Caravaqueño, who, besides attending the activities of the Summer School, receive a daily catering service, in order to ensure a complete and healthy meal during the summer vacation period, in The one that is interrupted the service of dining in the schools.
In addition, during the month of July, the Department of Youth has held summer schools in the Sierra de Mojantes school in Archivel, with 21 children;
In the 'Valle del Quípar' school in La Encarnación, with 11 children and in the Social Center 'José Salcedo' de Barranda, with 14 students, the latter organized by the Young Association of Barranda.
The municipal schools of summer have as main objective to promote in the children abilities like the creativity and the team work, through playful, educative and healthy activities.
Another objective is to contribute to the reconciliation of work and family life during school holidays.
