Plenary requests urgent measures for farmers affected by the hailstorm (27/06/2017)

The Plenum of the City Council of Caravaca approved a joint proposal to claim aid for farmers affected by the hail storm of June 4, which destroyed more than four thousand hectares of crops, causing economic losses in the field caravaqueño for almost four millions of euros.

One of the points of agreement among the various political groups was to urge the regional government to adopt a package of urgent and extraordinary measures to assist farmers, whose plantations of almonds, fruit trees, nurseries and other crops such as cereals, lettuce and broccoli Saw them seriously damaged.

On the other hand, the plenary approved the proposal of the Council of Urbanism to carry out the discontinuation of the current layout of the public road of 'Los Cipreses', in the place of Las Oícas, at the request of the Community of Irrigators of the Eyes of Archivel.

The modification of the layout will allow the construction of an irrigation reservoir to reduce the water deficit that occurs in summer, something that justifies the public interest of the action, and also allows an improvement and increase of the surface of the road that gives access to The farms of the area.

The Plenary of the City Council of Caravaca de la Cruz also expressed its rejection of the possible closure of the Office of Civil Registry based in the locality, which is apparent from the proposal to amend Act 20/2011.

The motion, raised by the Municipal Socialist Group and endorsed by the other political groups, agrees to transfer to all the competent bodies of the opposition of the Consistory Caravaño ​​to suppress the offices of the Civil Registry of small and medium-sized cities.

The proposal maintains that the materialization of this reform of the territorial distribution of the civil registries would suppose a serious deterioration of the public service, eliminating resources and suppressing employment, at the same time that it would force the citizens to move or to go to offices or professional consultancies.

The last session was attended by representatives of the InGloba and TeAyuda associations, who attended the Plenary Hall to show their support for the proposal that calls for the Health and Family and Equal Opportunities ministries to regulate an action protocol for people with eating disorder Autism spectrum in the health centers of Area IV are Health, dependent on the Murcian Health Service.

The motion, presented by the Municipal Group of the Popular Party, had the favorable vote of all municipal groups.

The Plenary also gave the green light to the proposal of the Municipal Citizens Group regarding the urgent creation of a Drones Unit for the prevention of robberies and fires in rural environments, a proposal that has already been supported by the Regional Assembly.

The motion counted on the votes in favor of the ediles of Citizens and Popular Party, the abstention of the Socialist Group and the vote against Izquierda Unida-Ganar Caravaca, considering that last one that could violate the fundamental right to the Intimacy.

Also unanimously approved the motion presented by the Municipal People's Group to promote the incorporation of the Local Police to the System of Comprehensive Monitoring of Cases of Gender Violence.
